What you'll be doing:

• Leading projects
• Planning architecture (with support)
• Producing a high volume of quality code
• Creating estimates, hitting time targets
• Code reviews - elevating & enforcing standards/ best practices
• Working closely with designers to render nearly pixel-perfect designs
• Implementing testing & creating a testing strategy
• Assisting junior developers and other team members
• Working very closely with mobile front-end development. This isn't a throw your API over the fence role.
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

Ideal requirements:

• Proficiency in Kotlin
• Experienced in use of Android Studio to build and distribute apps
• Good understanding of view bindings
• Experienced in utilizing many third-party libraries
• Performing REST API requests
• JSON data decoding into native object types
• XML layout building
• Experience with authentication and database solutions such as Firebase
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Trello and Jira
• Good communication skills in a remote environment via tools such as Slack
• Good understanding of source control with git

Ideal but not required:

• Familiarity with declarative interface framework Jetpack Compose

Even more ideal:

• Proficiency in other platform technologies (Swift, Typescript, React, React Native, etc)

Ideal requirements:

• Strong familiarity with WordPress, Drupal CMS, Contentful, or other CMS development
• Working knowledge of SEO techniques and Google Analytics software
• 5+ years of experience building Applications with React and related ecosystems -Next.Js would be desired-
• Extensive knowledge in vanilla Javascript
• Strong knowledge of modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS3 (TailwindCSS, SAAS, LESS), JSX
• Strong software engineering foundation
• Ability to select and apply common development patterns, architectures, and best practices
• Experience consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
• Good grasp of software architecture and scalability
• Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities:

• Develop user-facing features for web applications
• Optimize applications for maximum speed
• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve the usability
• Build user interface functionality across browsers and devices
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Develop a scalable and maintainable Web component architecture
• Ensure the optimized performance of the Web application
• Implement the latest best practices and conventions
• Participate in the sprint planning meetings, stand-ups
• Review, refactor and maintain codebases
• Ensure the quality of the delivered Web application and its code
• Profiling and improving front-end performance
• Participate in the code Review process
• Help identify areas of improvement in the code base,
• Learn, collaborate, and teach other Frontend Engineers
