The goal

Since 1997, System Tech has wired schools, hospitals, government buildings, and data centers across Idaho, Utah, and Nevada from three regional offices. The team needed a website that reflected that. A few of their core goals:
- Feels as modern and reliable as the systems they install
- Makes a broad service list easy to scan and search
- Speaks directly to each industry they serve
- Showcases their manufacturer partners and past projects
- Is easy for their team to update after launch

The design
We started with a round of visual exploration, pulling references from dark, product-led sites like Linear and Frame.io and testing several color and type directions side by side. System Tech landed on a high-contrast palette of yellow and tan, with their brand blue front and center.
Engineered for performance. Built to last.
A high-contrast brand system sets the tone, paired with imagery from System Tech’s own projects and a hero reel built from their job site footage. Subtle line patterns add texture alongside the photography.
A few decisions that shaped the experience:
- Light and dark, by design: We weighed an all-dark and an all-light direction before landing on alternating dark and tan sections. The shifts give each page a clear rhythm, and the contrast keeps long pages easy to scan.
- Personality that doesn’t overwhelm: The brightest color, a highlighter yellow, is reserved for buttons and large-format statistics, plus a glowing hover state that adds energy to the neutral tan and navy.
- Easy to browse at scale: With 13 services and 100+ partners, search and filters help visitors find a specific system or manufacturer in a few clicks.
- Proof up front: Case studies pair project video with before-and-after performance highlights.

The build
We built the site in Webflow, layering in custom code for the animations Webflow couldn’t do on its own:
- Elastic hover states that unfurl extra content and slide up a contrasting panel to pull focus to the call to action
- Service cards that expand on hover and switch to a scroll interaction on mobile
- Logo marquees that each run at their own pace, with a failsafe so hiding one never breaks the rest
Case studies live in the CMS, so System Tech can add new projects on their own. The new site launched in June 2026, handed off to System Tech’s team to manage and grow.
