What we build
Software for every stage of the funeral workflow
Director-facing tools for customizing and ordering memorial products, built for the pace of an at-need arrangement and the patience of pre-need planning. The one we know best is Messenger's My Designer Lab. In August 2026, 820 funeral homes placed orders through it and it generated 53,588 proofs.
Shops where families design and order memorial products themselves, whether that's a guest book, a folder or a set of bookmarks. Memorial Maker shows delivery and cut-off times up front, because the service date is fixed and a family shouldn't have to call to find out if an order will make it.
One platform with a branded storefront for each funeral home, where local florists and vendors fill the orders. We built it with Legacy.com and Tukios. It serves 1,200+ funeral homes and 1,300+ local vendors, and it took in $2M in monthly revenue in July 2026.
Marketing sites for a single funeral home or a regional network. To be fair, most of our funeral work so far has been ordering and e-commerce. We build the website with the same care, mobile-first, because a family looking up service times is usually on a phone.
Families upload their own photos, personalize a product and approve a real-time proof before anything prints. Since Memorial Maker launched, 1,259 proofs have been shared directly with families by link so relatives can look before it's ordered.
The back office behind the storefront: order management, inventory, delivery tracking, user permissions. On Legacy, the analytics show which products move and where orders drop off, and the team uses that to decide what changes each week.
Case study
Legacy: 1,200+ funeral homes, $2M in monthly revenue
Legacy.com hosts obituaries for more than 70% of deaths in the United States. We built the marketplace behind those obituaries with Legacy.com and Tukios, so a guest sending flowers buys from a local florist through a storefront branded as the funeral home.
It launched in December 2020 and first passed $1M in monthly revenue in August 2022. In July 2026 it did $2M. We're still working on it five years later.

More funeral industry work
Messenger has been in business 113+ years. We work on two of its products.

Messenger: My Designer Lab
The ordering tool funeral directors open every day
Funeral homes use My Designer Lab to customize and order memorial products. We've been Messenger's embedded design and development team on it for years, at more than 500 hours a month. In August 2026, 820 funeral homes placed orders through it.

Messenger: Memorial Maker
Memorial products families design themselves, launched at NFDA 2025
The consumer companion to My Designer Lab. We built it in 875 hours across five months, and Messenger presented it at NFDA 2025 to more than 5,200 attendees from 38 countries. Monthly orders have grown from 7 to 284 since.

What funeral work has taught us
The service date doesn't move. A florist has to fill the order and the funeral home has to receive it before the service, whether or not the payment cleared. On Legacy that meant the platform itself had to know which florist covers which address and whether that shop is open on the day.
We already know the vocabulary. At-need, pre-need, the arrangement table, a case. We've worked alongside Legacy.com, Tukios and Messenger long enough that you won't spend the first call explaining your business.
Long-term embedded teams. Messenger runs on a retainer of more than 500 hours a month with us, one of our longest partnerships. They get a written status in the same shape every week, starting with what went live and ending with what we need from them.
Some projects take five months. Some take five years. Memorial Maker went from start to the NFDA floor in five months. Legacy is five years and 13,337 commits in, and it still gets changes every week.
Where we'd start
Most guests reach a funeral home's storefront from an obituary. On Legacy, the link on that obituary carries which service the guest came from, so the shop opens already showing that funeral home's branding and the florists near the service.
That said, not every funeral home needs a platform like that. If what you need is a better website or a simpler way to take orders, tell us, and we'll say what we'd build first.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. With Legacy.com and Tukios, we built the white-label marketplace behind Legacy.com obituaries, and it serves more than 1,200 funeral homes and 1,300 local vendors from one platform. Legacy.com reaches 28.9 million monthly visitors and hosts obituaries for more than 70% of deaths in the United States. Each funeral home gets a storefront with its own branding. The link on each obituary tells the platform which home and which service a guest came from, so the right shop and the right local florists load on their own. Behind the storefront, funeral homes and vendors manage their own orders and inventory, while Legacy and Tukios see the whole network from one admin view. Checkout runs on Stripe with Apple Pay and 3D Secure, and Canadian florists are paid directly through Stripe Connect. The platform launched in December 2020. Monthly revenue first passed $1M in August 2022 and reached $2M in July 2026. If you run a network of funeral homes and want them on one shared system, that is the problem Legacy was built to solve.
Yes. Funeral directors and their teams use Messenger's My Designer Lab every day to customize memorial products and order them. We've been Messenger's embedded design and development team on it for years, on a retainer of more than 500 hours a month. In August 2026, 820 funeral homes placed orders through it and it generated 53,588 proofs. Over its life it has handled 402,103 memorial cases and 2.2 million family photos. Messenger has been in business for more than 113 years and holds a 99.8% on-time shipping rate, so a release that breaks ordering in the middle of a family's case would be a serious problem for them. Every change is peer reviewed and tested by our QA team, then Messenger approves it before it goes live. The largest recent piece of work was Lotus, a text editor we built to replace TinyMCE. We rolled it out behind a toggle, so documents directors had already built stay as they were.
Yes, though to be clear it was our client's product on stage. Messenger presented Memorial Maker, the consumer platform we built for them, at the 2025 NFDA International Convention and Expo, the world's largest funeral service exposition, to more than 5,200 attendees from 38 countries. Since that launch in October 2025, monthly orders have grown from 7 to 284 and families have placed 1,562 orders. We've also built and run the Legacy.com marketplace for five years, which now serves more than 1,200 funeral homes. Between the two, we've worked on both ends of the death care business: the tools a funeral director uses at work every day, and the storefront a grieving family may use once.
Yes. Memorial Maker, which we built for Messenger in 875 hours across five months, lets a family personalize a memorial product and approve a real-time proof before checkout. Each product carries its own options, such as size, theme, or paper type, and some options only appear after a first choice is made, so the interface keeps most of the catalog out of the way until it's relevant. Prices update as the family customizes. Delivery and cut-off times are shown up front because the service date is fixed. Families can also check out some items in their cart and leave the rest. Since the NFDA launch in October 2025, 1,259 proofs have been shared directly with families by link. We reused components from My Designer Lab to build it faster, and complex orders still flow back into My Designer Lab for Messenger's production team.
It depends on what you're building, and we'd want to see a real plan before we put a number on it. Two reference points from our own funeral work: Memorial Maker, a full consumer storefront for Messenger, took 875 hours across five months from start to its NFDA launch. Legacy's marketplace launched in December 2020 and has been in continuous development since, across 13,337 commits and eight major releases. Some work is a project with an end date, and some is a platform you keep building. For ongoing work like My Designer Lab, where we run a retainer of more than 500 hours a month, Messenger gets a written status every week showing what went live and what we need from them next.
Building software for funeral homes
A funeral service happens on a fixed date. The order has to reach the funeral home before it, whether that's flowers from a local florist or a guest book a family designed the night before, and that shapes how we build everything from checkout to delivery.
Our biggest piece of work in this industry is the Legacy marketplace. Legacy.com hosts obituaries for more than 70% of deaths in the United States and reaches 28.9 million monthly visitors. With Legacy.com and Tukios, we built the white-label marketplace behind those obituaries. It serves more than 1,200 funeral homes, each with its own branded storefront, and it took in $2M in monthly revenue in July 2026.
We also work on two products for Messenger, a memorial products company in business for more than 113 years. My Designer Lab is the ordering tool funeral directors use every day, and we've been Messenger's embedded team on it at more than 500 hours a month. Memorial Maker is the storefront where families design memorial products themselves. We built it in 875 hours across five months, and Messenger launched it at NFDA 2025 to more than 5,200 attendees from 38 countries.
We've worked alongside Legacy.com, Tukios and Messenger long enough to know the vocabulary, from at-need and pre-need to the arrangement table. You won't spend the first call explaining your business.
