HR & Workforce Tech

HR and workforce tools that actually get adopted

Identifyd AI recruiting platform

Raised across Parallel's pre-seed and seed rounds, helped by a workforce planning prototype we built

~70,000

Employees served by internal tools we built for Autoliv

$10.4B

What we build

Software for every stage of the workforce lifecycle

AI candidate search and SMS outreach in one recruiting tool, with the recruiter still deciding who gets contacted. That's how we built Identifyd, from product strategy through development.

Headcount modeling and budget tracking for HR and finance teams who are tired of reconciling spreadsheets before every board meeting. We built Parallel's prototype so both teams work off the same numbers.

Supplier boards and coaching tools for large organizations. For Autoliv we've replaced clipboards and shared spreadsheets with apps that work the same way in every plant and every country.

Investor-ready prototypes and MVPs for HR tech founders. In a crowded market, investors remember the prototype they could click through. Parallel's is what got them in the room.

Review cycles and pulse surveys that managers open without a reminder email.

Onboarding flows and knowledge bases that get new hires productive faster. We've built a knowledge base agent before, for Identifyd, that answers questions from the company's own material.

Identifyd: AI-powered recruiting and sourcing, built end-to-end

Identifyd is an AI-powered sourcing and recruiting platform for individual recruiters and small teams. We designed and built the whole product, from the AI prospect search that ranks candidates with enriched profiles through to SMS outreach and pipeline tracking.

Recruiting software is bloated, so the design job was keeping a powerful AI system tight enough that a one-person recruiting operation could pick it up in minutes. Behind the search sit thirty-nine data models, built over two years.

Why HQ for HR tech

We know what HR software is up against

Adoption is the real product. HR software has a reputation for being ignored. We design tools people open without being told to, because they're easier than the workaround.

Two audiences, one product. HR software serves the employee who uses it daily and the executive who reads the reports once a month. We design for both without shortchanging either.

AI where it adds speed. Identifyd's AI ranks candidates so a recruiter starts with the strongest matches, and the recruiter still decides who gets a message. We add AI where it changes how fast someone gets to a shortlist.

Built for the enterprise from day one. Whether it's a seed-stage HR tech prototype or a tool used across Autoliv's 25 countries, we plan the data model and permissions early. They're the hardest things to change once people depend on the product.

Great HR tools don't feel like HR tools

The best HR software doesn't announce itself. Managers finish reviews because the interface makes it easy, and candidates get a good first impression before they've spoken to anyone.

For Autoliv that meant putting dashboards and tools on phones, so people on the plant floor can use them without walking to a desk.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. We designed and built Identifyd end to end, from product strategy through development. It's an AI-powered sourcing and recruiting platform for individual recruiters and small teams. A recruiter describes a role, and the AI prospect search surfaces and ranks candidates with enriched profiles, each linked to LinkedIn. From there they build prospect lists and add candidates to SMS outreach sequences, and pipeline tracking shows where each person stands. Recruiting software is full of feature bloat, so the design job was making a powerful AI system feel effortless to someone who doesn't want to think about the model underneath. The harder engineering was in outreach. A reply arrives as a phone number and very little else, and the platform has to work out which prospect it belongs to and where they sit in a sequence. Credits are spent when a message sends, so a failed send has to give the credit back. The spend and the send happen in one transaction. Sequences carry stop handling by default, because opting out of an SMS is a legal requirement. Behind the search sit thirty-nine data models, built over two years.

Yes. We've built a suite of internal mobile and web tools for Autoliv, the global leader in automotive passive safety, with $10.4B in annual revenue and approximately 70,000 employees across 25 countries. Many of their internal workflows still ran on clipboards and shared spreadsheets, which worked fine when teams were local and didn't hold up across a global operation. We turned those into database-driven applications that behave the same way in every plant and every country, from safety tracking to supplier management. Mobile apps put dashboards in front of people on the floor, and web applications handle heavier workflows like supplier board management and risk tracking. Autoliv runs 62 production facilities, and a process that works when somebody does it forty times a week behaves differently when a plant does it forty thousand. We design for the people doing the work as much as for the managers reviewing it, because the people doing the work decide whether a tool gets used.

Yes. We designed and built the Parallel prototype from zero, covering everything from product strategy through development. The founders needed a product to show investors, and a deck was never going to carry a problem this operational. Investors could click through a working dashboard and the role management flows, then judge for themselves whether the workflow solved the headcount planning problem. Parallel raised $4.25M across its pre-seed and seed rounds, with investors including Peak Capital, Night Capital, and founders of Spiff, Weave, and Divvy, people who had seen good HR and finance tooling up close. To be fair to the founders, the prototype got them in the room and they did the rest. A prototype also gives you something to put in front of early users, so you find out whether the core workflow holds up before you pay for production code.

We design for the person who uses the software every day. The buyer signs the contract, and then the manager, employee, or recruiter stuck using it decides whether it gets opened on day two. That means fewer clicks per task and value that shows up in the first session without training. HR tools get abandoned when they're designed to pass a procurement checklist instead of fitting into someone's actual day. The software looks right in the demo and gets bought, then sits unused because the workflow is slower than the spreadsheet it replaced. Parallel was built to replace spreadsheets and HRIS exports, so the prototype only earned its place if it was quicker than both. Identifyd's free trial starts without a sales call, which only works because a recruiter can figure the tool out alone.

Yes. Parallel is a workforce planning platform for HR and finance teams at growing companies that have outgrown spreadsheets. Before Parallel, that data lived in spreadsheets, HRIS exports, and slides built for the last board meeting, so by the time someone needed a current answer it was stale. We designed one dashboard that puts live headcount and budget in front of both teams, so finance and HR are looking at the same numbers. Renato walked us through what planning looks like day to day, and most of it is what happens after the plan is set. A backfill comes in at a different level, or the budget gets repurposed. A March hire slips to June and someone else takes the slot. Those are the flows the prototype had to make simple, and they're why the dashboard leads with variance: how today's plan differs from the quarterly and annual plan, in people and in dollars. The layout also works on a tablet for managers reviewing headcount on the go. The prototype helped Parallel raise $4.25M across its pre-seed and seed rounds.

Building software for HR and workforce tech

HR software has a reputation for being the tool people open only when they have to. If the workflow is slower than the spreadsheet it replaced, people will keep using the spreadsheet, so most of our design work goes into making the tool the easier option.

Identifyd is an AI-powered sourcing and recruiting platform we designed and built end to end, from AI prospect search with enriched candidate profiles through to SMS outreach and pipeline tracking. Recruiting software tends to be bloated, so the design job was keeping it simple enough that a one-person recruiting operation could pick it up in minutes.

Parallel needed something investors could click through before any production code existed. We designed and built its workforce planning prototype, and the founders raised $4.25M across their pre-seed and seed rounds. For Autoliv, the global leader in automotive passive safety with $10.4B in annual revenue and ~70,000 employees in 25 countries, we've turned clipboard and spreadsheet processes into apps for safety tracking and supplier management.

HR software usually has two audiences, the employee who uses it every day and the executive who reads the reports once a month. We design for both, and we'll ask early which one your product is mostly for.
